The annual Arrowverse Crossover is here! This years event, titled Elseworlds brought our heroes from The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl together to defeat Dr John Deegan as he rewrote reality in the form of a Freaky Friday situation where Oliver is Barry and Barry is Oliver! Unbeknownst to them, it was all part of a test from The Monitor who is assembling a team to help him defeat the Anti-Monitor in the Crisis on Infinite Earths, announced at the end as next seasons (2019) Crossover Event. Elseworlds introduced us to Kate Kane (Batwoman) and Lois Lane as well as teased some big things to come for both women! We discussed the crossover as well as the setup and lead into Crisis on Infinite Earths and what it all could mean for the Arrowverse.

The latest installment to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has arrived in the form of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. This is the 2nd film in a series of 5 and we get together to discuss the film and what it means moving forward (Spoilers!). There has been some fan backlash in regards to certain plot points in the film and we discuss the Wizarding World joining the long list of fandoms attacked by toxic people who cannot find something better to do besides put out negative energy to creators, actors, writers, etc. We discuss the idea of entitled fandoms and why/how this exists and why it's insane.

Ep 47: Kevin Smith

00:0000:00

What's the big deal about Kevin Smith? Between 1994-1997 Kevin Smith releases Clerk, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy creating what is known as the ViewAskewverse in which all of these films exist in the same universe, same continuity. Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Clerks 2, also within this verse would come later, but many of us consider the first 3 to be the Holy Trilogy of the "Jersey Movies". Kevin is beloved for a myriad of reasons but mainly because he’s “one of us”. He talks about the same stuff you and your friends do, he’s the ambassador of geeks, he made it cool to like comic books. He's one of the many inspirations for this podcast! So we dedicated an entire episode to discussing one of our favorite filmmakers and his films!

Ep 46: Halloween

00:0000:00

It’s been 40 years since John Carpenter’s low-budget thriller broke indie box office records and changed Horror Movies forever with a teenage girl named Laurie Strode who was nearly murdered by a masked man she’d never met, Michael Myers. Halloween took terror out of castles, moors, and laboratories and gave it the face of a 6-year-old boy in the suburbs of Haddonfield, Illinois, who stabs his sister in the opening scene. 40 years later, Michael Myers and Laurie Strode are back and better than ever! We discuss the newest installment in the franchise as well as the Halloween franchise as a whole.
